At UrbanStems, We’re a proud partner of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Our aim is to raise awareness and further research, care, and support for breast cancer patients. While breast cancer cases have risen, the global pandemic has slowed the pace of breast cancer research. 

Every year we create a Breast Cancer Awareness Collection that honors survivors within our UrbanStems family. Each bouquet or plant in the collection is named after a survivor who was brave enough to share her story with us. We will be donating $5 from every purchase of this collection to BCRF, up to $15,000, and thank each of these women for their courage in sharing their stories, helping make breast health a priority.

First, we'll hear from the inspiration behind The April.

My name is April. I am 46 years old and live in Bakersfield, California.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2019 after a routine mammogram. It is my 3rd cancer diagnosis in 4 years.

My family and friends have been very supportive. They have been by my side every step of the way. It has helped me to stay strong and positive in this journey of fear and unknowns.

The biggest challenge has been fighting each cancer. I felt beat down and so overwhelmed after the 3rd diagnosis of breast cancer. I had to face it with the mindset that I will fight and beat this. I am now 2 years cancer-free!

Support loved ones who are facing cancer by making them laugh, letting them cry. Most of all, pray for them and just be present.
